The Energy Regulation Commission published in its deliberation of March 14, 2019 the level of the tariff rate of storage that will be introduced from April 1, 2019 in the tariff for use of natural gas transmission networks. This deliberation follows the closing of the auction of storage capacities that took place in February 2019.
The term storage tariff is set at 213.46 € / MWh / d / year, a decrease of 28% compared to last year. It will be revised next year before April 1, 2020.
This tariff term is added to the fixed and variable routing terms, the purpose of which is to compensate for the difference between the authorized income of the gas storage operators and the revenues collected directly by these operators in the course of their activity.
This term is based on the winter modulation level of natural gas consumption sites. The modulation is defined, in MWh / d, as the difference between the daily subscribed or standardized capacity and the average daily consumption of the site based on the CAR (Annual Reference Consumption).
The following sites will not have to fulfill this term:
The other sites will have to pay the new term, which will appear separately on the invoices as from April 2019. It should represent on average between 0,7 € / MWh for the least modulated profiles and 3 € / MWh for the most modulated profiles.
